Shugborough and Staffordshire County Council

The 900 acre Shugborough estate, the mansion house and its collections along with the servants' quarters and farm are all financed, managed, conserved and preserved by Staffordshire County Council as part of a 99 year lease with landowners the National Trust. Unlike traditional National Trust properties, the estate does not receive funds from National Trust memberships. As part of the 1966 lease agreement, NT members are given free access to the house after 1pm and grounds. There is a parking charge per vehicle or the opportunity to purchase a full site ticket to enjoy working aspects of the estate. These charges go directly towards preserving the estate's fine heritage for future generations to enjoy.
