OAKTREE

OAK TREE FARM UPDATE

A large group from Oak Tree Fram came to spend the day at the farm late this summer to celebrate the end of another full year of work that members from the project have undertaken with us this year.

Oak Tree Farm is a registered charity providing meaningful occupation for adults with learning difficulties based in Hildesrstone, Stone.  They began working with us 18 months ago in 2008

Members come come each week, in small groups, and work in walled garden and farm, and across the rest of the estate parkland and grounds.  All workers are waged for their hard work.  In fact it is work that is vitally important to the upkkep and management of the estate.  there input has been invaluable

Work has included Walled Garden weeding, harvesting, planting, Farm animal care, maintenance, and fencing amongst other things

The visit was a super opportunity for those that have worked with us to show off  the work they have been doing to other members involved in the project.  Apart from a runaway goat (pictured above in the slideshow) the day was lots of fun, and we look forward to contuned partnership work with Oak Tree

Yoi can find out more about them and what they do at www.OAKTREEFARM.UK.NET
