Our newest package for groups will take you and your party on a fascinating guided tour of the Servants’ Quarters with the Housekeeper and Kitchen Maid on hand, both offering different perspectives of life in 1871.
Mrs Bonham, our formidable Housekeeper, will detail all the aspects of her role, from organising the stores to keeping her eye on the maids.
Prospective servants in your group will discover the gruelling standards of hygiene required to win a position on the staff at Shugborough. So roll up the sleeves of the person next to you and bring them to try various chores in the kitchen and laundry in order to assess their suitability to become a Shugborough maid or servant.
This early evening package culminates with a hearty meal served in the Servants’ Hall, whilst hearing tales of gossip from our characters.
