New for 2007, the estate is offering a Twelve Days of Christmas Experience throughout November.
This delightful visit to the mansion house is themed around the traditional festive song. Groups will be entertained by stories about the tradition of the kissing ball, festive etiquette and historic Christmas menus featuring roast geese and swans. The grand finale to the experience will be a glass of sherry in the Saloon followed by a lesson on how to dance The Lancers.
The tours can be enhanced further with a sumptuous home-cooked Christmas lunch or dinner in the estate’s tearoom. The tearoom is renowned for serving wholesome food using local produce – some of which comes from the estate itself – and festive lunches and dinners are available from the beginning of November.
This group tour is available on selected days and evenings in November.
